The finals of the Euro soccer took place today the 22nd of June, Well done to all the children who took part, to the teachers who helped out with teams and to Mr. Molloy and Joe for organising the tournament.

What a cracking day we had for sports day. Events took place all over the school and the all weather pitch. The weather was perfect and everyone was in great spirits. All over for another year.

Winners Alright

County Champions

A wonderful win by the under 10's in the county final ended a 20 year drought for Scoil Bhríde. Congratulations to all the boys and their mentors Ms. Costello, Mr. McGlynn and Mr. Hanaffin.

Willow Weaving

Pupils from 5th class were delighted with the results of their Willow Weaving class on Wednesday. They each made a fish from weaving willow together with the help of the very skilled Beth Murphy.

All about Books - Bookweek

We had a lot of exciting activities for Book Week Monday 18 - Friday 22nd of April. We had story tellers, Karl O'Neill, Seosamy O'Maolalaí, Juanita Browne and Jackie Burke. Dress up day was Friday and a lot of children dressed up as their favourite character. Children from older classes did paired reading with junior classes. It was a very interesting week which was enjoyed by all.

A Triumph of All Sorts

"A Triumph of All Sorts" A play performed by both 6th classes, about the happenings in 1916. Parents were invited to the school for the performance and were treated to a spectacular show. The acting, music and dancing were captivating. It was a tremendous production and teachers and students deserve great praise for the effort and hard work that went into making it such a great success.

Easter Raffle

Easter Egg Raffle.

The schol held and Easter Egg raffle on March 16th. The lucky winners were Cathal Roe, Daniel Bawn, Róisín Browne and the children from Sonas 3. A huge míle bu iochal to all the children who purchased tickets and to all those who helped run the raffle. The school extends a sincere thanks to the parents who kindly donated the four spectacular Easter Hampers.

Confirmation

Confirmation took place on the 1st of March 2016 Arch Bishop Diarmuid Martin confirmed all the girls and boys in Scoil Bhríde.

Soccer comes to Scoil Bhríde

Mr. Molloy introduced soccer for the first time to pupils in Scoil Bhríde for both boys and girls. With Mr. McConigley and Joe, they prepared the boys and girls for their first FAI soccer tournament which was a great success and enjoyed by all. They look forward to training sessions in the future. Opening of New School Extension

On Friday the 5th of February the new school extension in Scoil Bhríde was officially opened. A fun filled day packed with activities was provided for all the pupils. The day started with the planting of a Crab Apple Tree at the front of the school to commemorate this special day.
